Preliminary work

The primary goal of the Preliminary Work section is to align with aims proposed in the Specific Aims section with previous work performed by the investigators. This preliminary work should demonstrate unequivocally that the authors are experts in the field and, whenever possible, that the collaborators in the proposal have previous experience working together.
